Euan was our very capable and knowledgeable driver/guide. He, in some creative and interesting ways, gave a clear history of Scotland and its struggles and wins over time. He stopped a historic and sometimes ancient locations. We also got to see some of the amazing places in Scotland. The best stop for us was Dunrobin were he timed the visit to coincide with a hawk and peregrine falcon hunting demonstration. While the highlands were often socked in with rain and clouds, he found places for us to experience those areas often altering travel plans to get the best weather. Very creative. Our last day in Portree we got a nice beach hike in perfect weather. Thanks Euan for a great 5 days in Scotland. And thanks to our very nice group of fellow travelers who were a delight to get to know and travel with.

Our guide, Euan, did a remarkable job of giving us the full Scotland experience. He wove history, geology and social commentary into each tour stop. We saw fairy gardens, castles, rainbows and stunning vistas. Euan was able to pivot and modify the schedule after a major car accident affected our travel route. And he could accommodate different levels of fitness. We highly recommend the Wee Red Bus tour.

My tour was set up by Adeo Travel. James, our driver/guide, was awesome. He was so passionate about Scotland, and wore a kilt most of the time, and had the Scottish flag on the bus. He was always telling us fairy stories, as well as, history of the places we went to. He would play music on the bus all the time, so if he wasn’t talking, we had music. Sometimes it was Scottish music, and sometimes music from the 80’s. James really made Scotland come alive for my daughter and I. The scenery was breath taking, and we took so many pictures. It was a 9 day tour around Scotland, and there is still so much we didn't get to see. We'd love to go back someday. I'd recommend this company and driver/guide to anyone who wants to get a great tour of Scotland.

We had an unforgettable seven-day private tour of Scotland’s Highlands, and it was an experience we will always treasure. From start to finish, everything was handled with such ease and professionalism that the trip felt effortless for us.

Our guide, Keith, was personable and engaging. Before the trip, we wondered what it might be like to spend seven days with someone we had only just met, but our concerns were banished immediately. Keith was easy-going while still making everything happen just as it should. He made the trip completely effortless, and we thoroughly enjoyed our week with him.

Keith’s deep knowledge, fascinating stories, and thoughtful suggestions brought Scotland to life in ways we never could have discovered on our own. He introduced us to places we would never have found ourselves, and in doing so gave us a real sense of Scotland’s beauty, history, and the warmth of its people.

Every detail flowed smoothly, making the journey both relaxing and enriching. We are leaving with not only wonderful memories but also a genuine appreciation of Scotland’s vast beauty and rich culture—and that is thanks to Keith.

We highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to see and understand Scotland beyond the surface. It was a complete pleasure from beginning to end.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour - our guide Keith was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable: we could not have asked for more. If we had toured on our own without a guide we never would have learned so much of the history of the places we visited! Keith was also very helpful with recommending restaurants and various food options.

The 5 day tour covers a lot of ground - the Isle of Skye is stunningly beautiful! I particularly enjoyed our stop in Cullodin and learning about the history there.

The bus was very comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. Travelling in a small coach like this allows you to visit places that some of the larger tour busses cannot negotiate.

Our accommodation was booked by the company and both bed and breakfasts were stunning, very comfortable boutique style accommodation with good breakfasts.

We were in communication with the company before the tour started and every email was responded to quickly. I really appreciated that.

We took a private tour booked on The Wee Red Bus. It was a 3 day Isle of Skye and Highlands tour. We loved our driver and tour guide Angela. She taught and showed us so much about Scotland history and sites. We loved the Isle of Skye with friendly tourists and locals alike. If there was a question Angela couldn't answer, she found the answer for us. She hiked out with us to Neist Point Lighthouse and the Fairy Glens which made it fun! By the way, all 4 of us on this tour are mid to late 60s! We would definitely do The Wee Red Bus tour again and would request Angela once more!

My two sisters and myself (Friends!) chose "Tour 5 – The Viking Coast & Alnwick Castle" as our only day-trip out of Edinburgh, and we’re glad of our choice to take the "little red bus" as well as having the opportunity of having Angela as our tour guide!

One of her strengths, in our opinion, was all of the interesting info given us AND how it was uniquely presented with songs interspersed. My only advice is that she could slow her speech down some! We Yankees have enough trouble understanding the Scottish accent… even when spoken S-L-O-W-LY!! But the microphone is a real good idea.

We loved the places she took us, the stops that she made, and ESPECIALLY all of the help and attention she gave us! Angela came into the restaurant where we 3 were late for our reservation (no real fault of hers because I hadn’t told her about this when we departed), took the blame on herself, then begged the staff to let us in … which they did!! She also took everyone on our bus home after the tour - a real convenience to all, and super great for my sisters and me - as it was already dark & our Airbnb was on a tiny, dead end street.

In all, it was a great form of transportation on a great route (including an extra little guided walking tour on the Isle of Lindisfarne!), a great guide. And, well… A great day!

Our five day Grand Tour of Scotland with Callum as our guide was fantastic. Callum’s experience as a hill climber and knowledge of the history/folklore of Scotland truly enhanced our experience. Callum went above and beyond to make everyone comfortable and thoroughly enjoy the adventure. Thank you!

Our guide, Callum, was amazing! He provided excellent commentary of the beautiful scenery. His knowledge was extensive! He was so nice throughout the tour. He also provided great tips on where to eat at the various places we visited. We couldn't have asked for a better guide.

Our 5 day tour of Scotland in the Wee Red Bus was outstanding! Our guide Roddy was so awesome and showed us so many wonderful spots! He shared lots of interesting facts and history and catered to everyone in the group effortlessly. I really enjoyed the small group size.

We just completed a wonderful private tour with Heart of Scotland. It’s incredible to do business with a company that does exactly as it advertises, has a heart. I can’t express how much the 4 of us enjoyed our tour with Heart of Scotland…. They made sure that we experienced Scotland, not just saw it.

Heart of Scotland is a local company with extraordinary employees. Our guide, Roddy, made us feel like he was a close friend who was showing us his country. He went out of his way to help us savor every sight, appreciate the history and, with a gleam in his eye, make the most out of every special moment. And he did it with such heart. We will never forget how we felt when on our tour.

Examples of his going above and beyond were finding a wonderful place to hand feed Highland cows (hairy coos) and he bought us fresh-from-the-farm strawberries and raspberries so that we could enjoy delicious summer local fruit. He took us on a tiny ferry (2 cars) the back route to Skye where we saw seals and an eagle and then we pulled off the road upon arriving at Skye with a wee dram he had brought… as he read us a beautiful Scottish toast about Skye. Or the time he took us to a tiny place/shed that served beautiful seafood right from the sea (the best fresh oysters we’ve ever had). I could name lots of other instances, but you get the idea.

When I was booking our tour I considered other tour companies, but something told me that Heart of Scotland would be extra special. And with the 4 of us, a private tour (5 days/4 nights) was reasonable and gave us the flexibility to go off the beaten path and also customize our time in the Highlands as well as Skye.

We highly recommend booking a day trip, a small group tour or a private tour with Heart of Scotland. And if you can, ask for Roddy.
