We are writing to thank you for the two wonderful trips we took with Heart of Scotland Tours. Our first trip was with Steve on October 21, 2011 to Rosslyn Chapel and Hadrian’s Wall. Steve was a great guide! His passion for history was evident and his story about Robert the Bruce’s heart will bring a tear to anyone’s eye. He could answer questions on a number of subjects and was very well read.
At Hadrian’s Wall he was kind enough to point out the best places to take photos and to walk the path behind the Fort which allowed you to walk on the wall and get a great view of the wall as it led away from the fort. He made sure that everyone was taken care of throughout the day. Our next trip was on the following Sunday to Loch Ness and Legends with Rose, storyteller extraordinaire!! Rose handles the bus with confidence and skill.
Since everyone was there on time, Rose was able to take us to get some great photos of the famous Forth Rail Bridge while it was still daylight. The highlands were amazing; seeing Glencoe was very overpowering. It added so much to the trip to hear the myths and legends that Rose shared with us at the very spots where they originated. She also plays great music that seems to go with the magnificent scenery.
We want to thank Rose for stopping so that we could take pictures of “Glenbogle” house and the Gatehouse as she went out of her way to stop because it meant so much to us. The rest stop in the afternoon at the waterfall was the perfect place to stop. We thoroughly enjoyed our trips with Heart of Scotland Tours and plan on booking with you again on our next trip to Scotland (which will hopefully be soon) and we will recommend your tours highly to everyone.
